At Wicker Guys, we are passionate about crafting exceptional rattan furniture, meticulously weaved using the traditional wicker method. Since our establishment in 2016, we have been committed to creating timeless pieces that seamlessly blend elegance with functionality.

Our Story

In the heart of Cape Town, two visionary minds came together with the drive to be a businessman and businesswoman. Eventually, we started the company ITS BAO BUN (Pty) Ltd which served as an ecommerce dropshipping platform but with limited time to allocate to the business, it was eventually sold off. A year later a new product came about that we created for the love of our outdoor living in our very own home. Funding was not easily accessible and hence scaling this product into a business had to wait until capital grew. In 2023, Wicker Guys was brought to life. Founded by Jitesh Ramdath, an Actuarial Science graduate from the University of Cape Town and currently the Financial Optimisation Head at FNB, alongside Sasha-leigh Paules, holding two degrees in Analytics and Statistics from the University of Cape Town, and also employed at FNB as an Analytics Manager. Together, we embarked on a journey to redefine the world of rattan furniture built on a foundation of affordability in order to maximise service to the South African market.
